Chrome/Chromium

  • Enter about:plugins in the address bar.
  • Find the Java plugin and click the Disable link.

Firefox

  • Enter about:addons in the address bar.
  • Click the Plugins tab on the left and find the Java plugin and click the Disable button on the right hand side.

Safari

  • Enter the menu, Safari > Preferences
  • Click the Security tab (Picture of a Lock) and uncheck the Enable Java checkbox

Internet Explorer

  • Enter the Tools Menu (Gear icon in upper right corner) > Internet Options
  • Click the Security tab and clicking the Custom Level button at the bottom of the window
  • Scroll down in the Security Settings box until you see “Scripting of Java Applets,” and click the Disable or Prompt radio button.
