OpenLAB Upgrade
Our OpenLAB facilities are being upgraded.
Phase 1 has been completed, please use openlab.umiacs.umd.edu for all your remote login needs.
Phase 2 will happen Feb 24th 2009 please see OpenLABUpgrade.
Internet Service Downtime Thursday 26th 5am to 6am - New VPN Service
External network access will be interrupted to UMIACS networks on Thursday, February 26th during the hour of 5am to 6am. The interruptions will take the form of several 5-10 minute outages over the hour. Internal connectivity, such as traffic between clusters, desktops, and their respective fileservers, should not be affected with the *exception* of desktops in the BSB Building #296.
UMIACS will also be getting a new VPN service, which will not result in outages to the service. The VPN server will remain known as
- umiacs-vpn.pc.umiacs.umd.edu
