Helpdesk Closing Early (Dec 21,2007)

The helpdesk will be closing early today 4PM instead of the usual 5PM. Please email staff at staff@umiacs.umd.edu if there are any issues. We will reopen on January 2nd, 9am. Have a safe and happy holidays!

Network Installation in AVW 33XX/34XX Next Week

Contractors from FiberPlus will begin work next week to upgrade the ethernet wiring on the third floor in the 33XX and 34XX wings of the A.V. Williams building. Please be aware that they will be working in and around this area, we apologize for any inconvenience this causes for you. These upgrades are to replace the old Cat3 wiring currently being used in these offices, and will pave the way for more reliable and faster network service for users in the near future. If you have a problem with your email or a problem that would be better addressed by speaking to directly to a staffer, you can call or visit our Help Desk, Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 5:00pm. The Help Desk is located in Room 3142 of the A.V. Williams Building, and can be reached by phone at 301-405-1775.
