The following instructions will allow you to setup a rule in your Outlook client to filter mail that has been tagged as spam from the UMIACS Barracudas. The rule acts on “X-Barracuda-Spam-Status: Yes” within the message header.

1. Start by Clicking on “Rules and Alerts…” under the “Tools” menu option

2. Click on the “New Rule…” button

3. Select the “Check messages when they arrive” option under "Start from blank rule" section then click next

4. Select the check box for “with specific words in message header” then click on the on the blue underlined text labeled “specific words” in the box labeled “Step 2: Edit…”

5. Type in “X-Barracuda-Spam-Status: Yes” and click add

Next click the OK button once the “X-Barracuda-Spam-Status: Yes” phrase is added to the search list.
