===UMIACS Email IMAP Downtime July 5th 2010 10pm-2am===
We are going to be upgrading UMIACS Email IMAP service that is served by imap.umiacs.umd.edu.  The current chassis is off support and we are nearing its storage capacity.  We will be migrating to a new chassis that has a significant additional amount of storage.  Please note that while this upgrade is underway you will *NOT* be able to access your IMAP mailboxes in UMIACS.  Mail will be delayed and queued up durning the outage but will be delivered once service has been restored.
 
This will have no effect on our Exchange users or our users who forward their mail off site.

===UMIACS Help Desk Holiday Hours===
The Help Desk will be closed on July 5th, due to the University's observance of the July 4th Holiday
 
Additionally, the Help Desk will be closing at 3pm on Friday, July 2, as the staff prepares for the long weekend.
