neosybase.umiacs.umd.edu
cbcbmysql00.umiacs.umd.edu
to enable a kernel parameter so the planned upgrade for the 3Par SAN Disk subsystem can go forward with no impact on these services.
We are planning to do this on Tuesday Sept. 16th at 8pm.  This should only be a 30 min max downtime.  All database connections and transactions will be unavailable.  If possible any systems accessing these databases should stop their connections ahead of the downtime.
