===Power Issues===
UMIACS and the campus have had a problem with the UPS that feeds into our main datacenter in AVW.  These problems are related to the storms that have come through yesterday and today.  We are working towards fixing the issue with the UPS however though more storms are predicted for today and throughout this week.  Please if you are working on important documents remember to save them often as we very well may have additional brown outs and power issues.

===Network Problems===
We have noticed that starting sometime Monday May 18th 2009 that we have been experiencing a higher level of latency on average.  Sometimes latency has also jumped to an unacceptable level (eg. 200-300ms) for short periods within the UMIACS network.  We are currently working on this problem and have no ETA on an exact fix as we still are having trouble pinpointing the problem.
