Emergency Downtime Jul 15, 2010

  • Our site is now fully functional. If you encounter any issues (like stale mounts we have missed) please let the help desk know at 5-1775 or staff@umiacs.umd.edu. Thank you for your patience (UMIACS Staff, Fri Jul 16 13:57:13 EDT 2010)
  • At this time most services (major file servers, nfshomes, most web services, imap mail, printing, web mail) are back. We are still working on getting the rest of the services back online. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused the community and are still working hard to get all services back up. Thanks (UMIACS Staff, Thu Jul 15 15:05:36 EDT 2010)
  • Today at 12, our main datacenter in 1139 lost power due to an unexpected power event which took off all main UMIACS infrastructure services and networking. We are currently working to restore services to UMIACS but we do not have a current estimate when we will be back. (Mark, UMIACS Staff, Thu Jul 15 13:15:20)
