This page outlines the steps required to enable Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for the pulse VPN.

Enabling MFA Authentication

  1. Visit https://vpn.umiacs.umd.edu/mfa and login and complete the DUO setup for your account.
  2. In your Pulse Secure Client create a new profile specifying https://vpn.umiacs.umd.edu/mfa as the URL.
  3. When the second authentication box comes up, type `push` into the password field and hit enter. You should then receive a push to complete authentication.
Exclamation-point.png Pro-tip: Select ‘Save Settings’ on the secondary authentication prompt to have Duo automatically send you a push.
