I made a simple PHP script that demonstrates how you can allow users to login using their UMD logins: http://hcil2.cs.umd.edu/test/login.php

To view the source, login to hcil2.cs.umd.edu and go to /fs/hcil2/html/test.
This demo uses the phpCAS library which is downloadable from:
https://wiki.jasig.org/display/CASC/phpCAS
