Organizer Handbook
This is a guideline for HCIL BBL organizers.
- Send reminders to HCIL at Monday and Wednesday
- Please send a reminder to external speakers ~one or two weeks before their scheduled talk. I would also follow-up with them a day or two before their visit to the HCIL to double check if they need anything, confirm address/directions, etc.
- I would always CC the speaker in your talk announcement emails (at least one of them). This serves two purposes: one, it helps remind the speaker. Two, many times recipients will want contact information for the speaker and this is an easy way to share that.
- At least one-thirds of talk should be given by students proposing immature ideas.
