A User-Supported system is any University owned hardware that is administered by the system's primary user.

UMIACS Technical Staff and User-Supported Machines

UMIACS Technical Staff may provide the following services on User-Supported systems:

  • In-Warranty hardware diagnostics and support
  • Operating System and software licensing and media

The maintenance, security, and backups of the system will be the responsibility of its primary user.
