A User-Supported system is any University owned hardware that is administered by the systems primary user.
UMIACS Technical Staff and User-Supported Machines
UMIACS Technical Staff may provide the following services on User-Support systems:
- In-Warranty hardware diagnostics and support
- Operating System and Software licensing and media.
The maintenance, security, and backups of the system will be the responsibility of it's primary user.
