Format Registry Client
About Format Registry Client (Focus Client)
Focus Client is a stand-alone LDAP client application. Focus Client can be viewed as an agent that interacts with Fider and GFR to get information on formats and applications of a given file.
The figure below is from our initial component design that shows a format identification scenario on the file named 'foo'. In the figure, Focus Client can be thought as the Agent.
