Ensure ACE SRB Integrity
These are the pre-transfer validation steps needed to ensure we are starting with intact vollections
Local Integrity validation
A pre-transfer validation must be run during the month prior to transfer. Any errors must be corrected.
- Open local ACE installation, view collection report.
Comparison with SDSC and NCAR
A comparison of the collection/sha digests will be performed against SDSC and NCAR.
- Open local ACE, select Colleciton, more, Compare Collection
- For each site, run comparison.
Migrate SRB Files
- Generate work lists for files that need to be transferred from the SRB
- Export files and load into the SWAP storage nodes
- Register files into the new iRODS instance using ireq and iscan.
Final Comparison
Repoint the ACE monitoring from the srb instance of the collection to the final, SWAP location. Run validation and log/correct any errors.
